Start Recognizing NLP Patterns Immediately By Watching These Three Videos
These three videos have been spinning through different blogs over the last few weeks — strangely enough, not many of them focusing on NLP.
Watch them. They’re worth your time. Not necessarily because of the conspiracy message that comes through, but to WATCH and NOTICE specifically the patterns in action. You will learn a lot from this.
Enjoy!
Part I.
Part II.
Part III.

Steve,
Thanks for posting these.
I think the NLP community is doing itself a disservice by ignoring these sorts of uses. Anyone whose only exposure to NLP is a YouTube video like this may think NLP is evil and primarily associated with malevolent manipulation or “sorcery.” They’ll miss all the positive things they can get out of it.
There’s a huge difference between using NLP patterns to propagandize a population versus building relationships with customers or doing positive change work. Acknowledging the former allows us to make the distinction and equip people to be more aware of it.
Do you think the guys analysis is accurate? The moving your hands to the left means you are an extreme left winger?
Louis,
I agree with you. It’s always the famous double-edged sword: use it for evil or for good.
Light side and dark side of the force…
Ron,
While we can’t know for sure what the newscaster’s intent is, those hand gestures are certainly choreographed and intended to influence viewers’ perceptions.
While not every viewer may interpret the gesture to mean that the professor is a left winger, it might certainly suggest that, knowing that the FOX network traditionally represents right wing views.
If you want to know more about covert and sneaky uses of NLP, study Ross Jeffries’s work on seduction — especially the early material. He discusses these suggestive gestures in depth.
I believe this video deserves a meta-analysis, an analysis of an analysis
The 666 analysis seems very far fetched, and I’m not sure how anyone can understand that. For me the 666 was a pattern interrupt, and all of the numbers lead me to a state of confusion. It’s also interesting to note that the 6’s were in red white and blue. There seems to be a hidden association in the analysis that suggests America is evil. I believe lot of the language of evil and sorcery ends up being associated with the USA subconsciously as a result of this little play.
One of the presuppositions of the whole analysis is that “they have to use petty manipulation tricks to cover up the truth”. With this presupposition in place we are lead to believe that the professor is indeed telling the truth.
Isn’t the analyzer now using NLP presuppositions to change our perceptions of reality? Do we REALLY know why fox news uses NLP to discredit their interviewees? It may be to cover up the truth or it may be to sway people to have more republican beliefs. The language used here shapes our perception of reality, and it seems to work even better when the imposed belief is presupposed.
