It’s pretty much the same as learning how to drive from a book vs. going to driving school.
Going to an NLP Practitioner or other program will allow you to watch the patterns demonstrated, which is absolutely essential for you to build adequate references.
AFTER you’ve attended a seminar, you can learn from books and leverage them to deepen the understanding you’ve acquired PRACTICALLY at the seminar.
I’ll give you a concrete example, from a different learning situation. During the 1990′s, I read “Unlimited Power” and “Awaken The Giant Within
” by Anthony Robbins. Then, in 1999, I decided to purchase his “Personal Power
” CD program. I did the entire 30 days and thought: “Wow! Full of new stuff!”
In 2000, I attended his Unleash the Power Within seminar and, subsequently, his Mastery University. Once again, I thought: “Full of new stuff!”
In 2002, I decided to re-read “Awaken The Giant Within.” How surprised was I to discover that the content of Personal Power, Unleash the Power Within and Date With Destiny was all contained within that book!!
There was one major difference, though…
This time, it made sense.
This time, I got it.
Now, the book was a reference manual I could tap into to remember, refine or deepen what I had learned practically at the live events.
That’s why you want to attend a live NLP event. So that you can “get it” quicker, faster and with less effort.
That’s also the reason to get a mentor or a coach: so you can absorb and integrate into your daily practice empowering belief systems, effective strategies and useful models.
